Helping control noxious weeds is something every weekend gardener and concerned citizen can do to become more involved and help protect our native Oregon ecosystem. Event Information
Noxious weeds are non-native invasive species that threaten our ecosystem. They crowd out native plants, starve wildlife, use water and create allergens. Noxious weeds also provide tremendous ladder fuel. During wildfires, ladder fuel can radically change the speed and fury at which wildfires burn. Got Weeds? Bagged noxious weeds can be dropped off from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on June 16 at the Westside Venue in the Old Mill District. Look for the Wintercreek Native Restoration trailer at the festivities.
