And whereas, the Bend City Council seeks the opinions and ideas of its residents in formulating city policy and is therefore creating an Advisory committee, the Neighborhood Leadership Alliance (NLA), comprised of one member nominated by each of Bend’s Neighborhood Associations, to advise it;
Therefore, be it resolved that the Summit West Neighborhood Association agrees to participate in the NLA when it begins to function and will select a representative from its board to serve on the NLA committee.

- Meetings to start in July, need to have representative decided on by then
- Need to develop list of priorities (could potentially survey members)

- Two notices have been received, 1) residential rental, 2) university master plan.
- How to we want to handle notices going forward?
- Notices are only sent when legally required, only one copy goes to NA, to the land use member
- We’ll set up a mailbox and have notices forwarded to it
- Land Use Committee members will have access to it (Richard, Byron, Bill)
- Notices will be scanned (somehow) and sent to Kathy for distribution to the group
- Notices will be reviewed by committee; if needed they will provide a summary and analysis and distribute that as well
- Notices and analysis will be posted on the website in Land Use section
- Walk-able NWX
- Group that Richard works with, concerned with speeding
- Agreed to fold the group into Summit West NA so that other neighborhoods can be included (will need to update name)
- Richard made chair of Land Use Committee, as well as Traffic Committee

- Kathy to provide mission/vision/values, info on next meeting, participation in committees, communications and social media

- Everyone should plan on being at the library to help setup at 5:30
