Items Discussed:
Voting on New Board Member

• Becca Hitt introduced herself to the board and shared her interests in emergency planning / evacuation and her experience with social media. The board members voted unanimously to appoint Becca Hitt to the open board position.

Officer Roles

• Byron Buck is stepping down from the Land Use Chair position. Bill Bernardy agreed to fill the vacancy.
• Bill Bernardy will step down from the Board Vice Chair position in order to do land use, and Jenn Lynch agreed to fill the vacancy.

Outreach / Social Media

• Sending out a 2021 survey is a priority. It was decided that SWNA will create a draft of a survey, which will be sent to other NA’s for possible collaboration before sending to members. The board will wait for the City Council to choose its goals in March before finalizing survey questions in an attempt to align questions with the new goals.
• Organizing forums and events and collaborating with other NA’s was suggested to increase engagement and participation. Topics of interest included development and land use and emergency preparation.

 Budget

• We have approximately $8,000 in the budget. Erik requested that board members think about ways to spend the funds before the next meeting.
