  • A presentation and handout was provided that outlines the Northwest Crossing Traffic Safety Mitigation Measures
  • It is recommended to gain support from the Summit West Neighborhood Assn for future funding activities for traffic safety

Update From City, Bill Moseley
  • Summary of the Biannual Strategic Planning Session was presented.
  • The Budget Session is forthcoming

Shevlin/Mt Washington Roundabout Presentation (David Abbas, Director, City Streets and Operations)
  •  Overview of 2019 Street Preservation Projects
  • Detailed discussion of the Shevlin/Mt Washington Roundabout Project 
  1. Constructed in 2000
  2. Projected cost $824,000
  3. Spring Construction
  4. 30 year lifespan due to improved construction materials
  5. 45 calendar days for construction
  6. Temporary 2 lane bypass on SW Corner of Roundabout during construction
 
Update on the City Survey, Kathy
  • 300 Participants, Statistically Valid Survey
  • Areas of focus included Affordable Housing, Long term Planning and Street Maintenance
  • City’s website has results

Budget Report 2018-2019, Patrick Grogan
  • Beginning Balance $3,148.00. As of 2/12/2019 Remaining budget is $2,545.85

Update on NLA
  • Getting up and running, made budget request. Areas of focus: land use, new members and safety

Update on Neighborhood Assn. Roundatable  (NART), Jill
  •  NART consists of 13 neighborhood Association’s sanctioned by the City of Bend
  • NART is not a new group. However, a renewed interest in this group has resulted in adding new NA members for continued future planning. The new group has had two planning meetings to date. Primary discussion items focused on the mission statement and 2019 goals and objectives
  • The group will meet on a bi-monthly basis

Other Updates:
  • The Firework Safety meeting will be March 5th, at the Unitarian Awbrey Butte Church. Attendance is welcomed.
