The Bend Park and Recreation District (BPRD) has released its draft Comprehensive Plan. The draft Plan is the result of collecting comments for nearly two years and sets the framework for planning BPRD parks, trails and recreational facilities for the next ten years.
The draft Plan is available for review and comment at the link below. The link will take you to a comment form which is to be used to provide online comments, and any comments are due by Sunday, June 3. The BPRD will be conducting a public meeting about the draft Plan on Wednesday, May 30, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the BPRD office, 799 SW Columbia St. SWNA board members plan to review the draft Plan and, as appropriate, submit comments to the BPRD and post them on the SWNA website. Its review will primarily focus on those parks, trails and recreational facilities situated within SWNA boundaries and BPRD proposed plans for the future. Board members also plan to attend the above public meeting. It is recommended that interested parties review the draft Plan and submit any comments independent of SWNA board review. ADDED NOTE 5/29/18: A review by the SWNA Board is now posted three entries above this one for further review. bendparksandrec.org/compplan.
