The City of Bend has recognized 13 official Neighborhood Associations.

The Summit West Neighborhood Association was first organized in 2007, but became inactive in 2015. A group of Summit West neighbors has now come together to restart the association.
Our Mission:
Working Together To Make Our Neighborhoods Vibrant, Safe, and Livable!
Our Vision:
We will provide a voice for our association members to help create a positive future
for the neighborhoods of Summit West and to enhance our whole community.
Our Values:
- Fostering neighborhood-wide engagement to promote friendly interactions, a high quality of life,
and an open process for the discussion of information and opinions
- Serving as liaison to transmit residents’ viewpoints to governmental bodies, and ensure that our
community’s interests are fully represented at relevant governmental and business activities
- Promoting safety for our neighborhoods, including effective disaster preparedness
- Supporting the improvement of social, economic, and environmental vibrancy while sustaining
natural resources, recreational opportunities, and the value of the land
- Improving communication with all parties, including neighborhood residents, other neighborhood
associations, business community, city, county, state, and other partners
- Acting proactively to support systematic land use planning that provides for well-designed future growth
